From Doc E: “Okay, it’s not the much heralded wide mix of this album, but it is a great sounding LP nonetheless. In fact, the first seven songs appear to be good old fashioned true stereo – sounding quite excellent. The last seven songs are in stereo, but the separation is much narrower – hence, the name. The sound is great. Sourced from an unopened copy of the LP. As you know, there is a "wide mix," heralded by many to be among the best sounding versions of this LP, if not the best ... and a "narrow mix," where the left and right channels are panned somewhat toward the center, "narrowing" the stereo spectrum. This is a "hybrid" version of the LP. Capitol of Canada apparently pressed some wide stereo versions, some narrow stereo versions, and some that had both - thus a "hybrid."...
